Today I Am 32
A family portrait. For a few years in/after college I lived with two of my best friends, Mike and Chrissy. I love this picture because it depicts as we are. Fairly close, slightly creepy and all with the same strange sense of humor.
Mike and I think alike. Either through design or proximity over an extended period of time, we shared the same undercurrent of ideas and jokes. I just remember us being very in sync. Chrissy and I, who I see more often than Mike, got along just as well, although I had the unfortunate habit of doing something horrible to her from time to time, like the day I threw a shoe at her face in the living room. It was an accident, I swear!
They were there when I got Washington, the cat I've had ever since, and they were there ... well, I can only think of one other significant occassion, my wedding, which didn't end well, so that's not really a fond memory. But they've been there for many, many insignificant days, which is special, too.
(And I'll say a quick "hi" to my other good friends that read this blog. Hi Margaret, Donald, Ken, Mandy, Macaela, Scott, Robyn, Joe, Emily, Ann. And if I'm missing you, I'm sorry, but I didn't realize you were reading. Why don't you comment sometime, hunh?)

I'm 32. I like this year so far. I like the number of it. 32. Such a good, even number.
I started the day, technically, by watching The Abyss and designing my Tardis tattoo. I'm really impressed with how it came out and so glad I didn't stop to get some beer. There's no way I'd have come up with this if I'd had a few. I need to rework the banners at the top and bottom and then there's the eventual inking, but the sheer amazingness of this makes it worth not actually getting a tattoo today, like I wanted.
Then I slept because it was 4 a.m. when I finished. No alarm for obvious reasons, and I work up at 9:30 a.m. A couple birthday wishes and I roused myself, made breakfast, scanned in the Tardis tattoo and printed some copies to work on the aforementioned details, cleaned up cat vomit, shaved my head, took some pictures of stuff to sell and then headed out.
I priced a portable hard drive at Best Buy. I'm working on replacing the bulk of my DVDs with digital copies so I want somewhere to put them and a backup of everything else. I've got a 10% birthday coupon and will soon have $20 in reward money.
Note: For those of you nonbelievers, this is a reason to donate blood, aside from the whole saving lives thing. Everytime you donate you can get points that you can then convert into Best Buy reward points, which gets you money. That's free money if you shop at Best Buy. Think about it.
Then I went to Target to get some deodorant. Yes, I'm on vacation and yes, that means I went into work, but c'mon; I don't hate hate my job and it would be silly to not save the money on this basic necessity. I did however avoid talking to anyone or walking through my department.
And now I'm at Barnes & Noble for the free internet and availability of books. It's kind of a lame birthday, but I'm actually having a good time doing whatever I want. After this I might see a movie and later I might go home to see my family. I need to revise my pile of keeps and sells/give aways, too, so I can start selling more of it. Oh, and I need an adapter for my micro SD card. Radioshack maybe.
So much to do!

Happy Birthday! I swear I didn't know about this blog until today.
Thank you and it's fine. It's pretty much the same as the old one except without the old content. I moved it to try and throw off my internet stalkers.
now you're smelling fresh and life at 32 has stepped out on the right foot. can't say that's too bad.
I bought Donald deodorant yesterday as well so in a convergence of purpose it's like we were thinking the same... I got nothin.
Donald also didn't know about this blog. I knew about it, but sometimes my Google Reader doesn't show me your post for several days afterwards. :P
