And thus NaNoWriMo is complete. I've "won" as they put it, although the novel is far from finished. I've started down the path toward the end, but after that is revision. I need to research a lot of things to get the terms right, beef up the lighter parts where I'd either lost steam or just wanted to get through to the next part. And after that I have to check it all for consistency.
But it feels good to finally put down on paper this story I've had in my head for years.
The Arctic Heart. A labor of love, a trial by death and a fate that dooms all men.
Excerpt:
“There.” Joseph holds out the heart. He walks to the center of the crowd. In his hand the heart turns from grey flesh to pink. The men watch as the dead tissue is brought back to life, beats once and then is still.
