Bartholemew, played by Alfred Molina, has been very much affected by their conditions and experiences. Now a man of faith, he is an anchor to the group, but just where they've come to rest spiritually and mentally is arguably not for the best. Molina has that ability to comfort and soothe, and then turn on a dime to be a different presence entirely.
"The Arctic Heart ... It's got that guy from Spider-man 2 that played Doctor Octopus and, omg, did such a great job. And he's done other things, too, but, for reals, Spider-man 2. Coming soon to a theatre near you. The Arctic Heart, not Spider-man 2, although that would be awesome."
I didn't quite reach my goal for the evening. I wanted to get in about 5,000 words and reach 25,000, but I'm just too tired. I couldn't get to sleep last night, so I took a nap tonight, which is making me sluggish and then there's all the time I lost from the nap as well.
I need to take at least one night off, so I may not write anything tomorrow night at all. I love the story, but even with that I'm growing disinterested from the intense focus.
And, on the horizon, is a point in the novel where I'm not sure what the actions are. Since I know everything that happens around them, I'm hoping the gaps will fill themselves in.
Your excerpt for the evening:
"I have the same responsibility to these men that I've always had, Andrew. To protect them and to serve their best interests. And if we have this chance to walk out of hell, I will lead the way. And no one will stop me. Dead or alive."
